Orit Lahav is a lawyer specializing in issues of government and politics and the intersection of religion and state. She is responsible for the overall functioning of the organization and all advocacy activities including work with Knesset members, drafting proposed legislation, and serving as spokesperson in the media for all matters pertaining to organizational activities. She received a Bachelor’s Degree (cum laude) from Bar Ilan University and a Masters Degree in law from Hebrew University. Orit is an expert in legislation, politics, and public policy. For two years, Orit worked as a parliamentary assistant to MK Aliza Lavie, a former member of Yesh Atid. She also worked in the Jerusalem prosecutor’s office in the Department of Administrative Law and worked as a lawyer in the legal department of the Ministry of Finance. Orit spent a year studying Judiacs at the women’s seminary “Migdal Oz,” is a graduate of the “Yud Chet” organization and Pozen Foundation Program in Community Leadership, and a graduate of Ein Prat.
Batya received her Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the Hebrew University and her Masters Degree in Law from Bar Ilan University (with excellence). Batya served in a top position at the Israel Tax Authority after which she did her speciality training as a lawyer in the office of Avigdor Feldman, a leading lawyer in the field of human rights and appeals to the Supreme Court. Her work at Adv. Feldman’s office gave her vast experience in helping to change Israeli society through Supreme Court appeals.
Naava is an accomplished social activist and passionate advocate for women’s rights. An American-born Israeli who made aliyah at age 12 with her family, she finished high school in Jerusalem and did two years of national service helping disadvantaged populations before obtaining a degree in political science and communications from Bar Ilan. In 2014, Naava co-founded ImaKadima, an volunteer community with over 14,000 members that supports career-minded mothers and advocates for family friendly workplaces. Naava was also at the forefront of Tnu Litbol B’Sheket, an initiative on behalf of women’s rights in the mikvah. Naava has been in the development arena for almost a decade working with social change organizations like Hamishmar Hahevrati in the Knesset and worked for 5 years at the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) as a Donor Relations Officer in the International Relations Division.
Tami is a community social worker who has been working in the field of social change and human rights for almost two decades, most recently at Bizchut, an NGO that empowers people with disabilities. She has a BA in community social work, and an MSW focusing on public policy and welfare case management, both from Hebrew University. Tami also teaches social work at Hebrew University. Tami believes that communities are the infrastructure of social change, and in their ability to advance a society based on justice and values.
A graduate of Pelech high school in Jerusalem and of Midreshet Ein Hanatziv. Served in a pre-army year as a Bnei Akiva community leader. At the army, she was drafted to Havatzalot program in the Intelligence force, and served as an officer and section head. She obtained her BA in Middle East Studies and Philosophy from the University of Haifa, and received an MA in Talmud from Bar Ilan University. She has been in the position of Projects Coordinator since March 2017.
Debbie is an accomplished lawyer with several degrees: she holds a Bachelors and a Masters in Law from Hebrew University. She also holds a Masters in Public Administration from Edinburgh University, Scotland, and a Masters degree in Jewish Studies from London University, in the UK. Debbie is also an expert in prenuptial agreements and conditional marriage and has worked with Mavoi Satum for many years as a consultant to couples on this subject. In her professional career Debbie has worked for many years in the legal department of Hebrew University and also in the university administration. She also served as Director of the Center for Jewish Studies at Hebrew University and she continues to represent the University till today in disciplinary procedures
Philosophy and Economics Student at the “Hebrew University”. He produced the podcast ‘Hasipur Shelanu’, on Judaism and Jewish history. Served in the IDF as a combat soldier in the Paratroopers Brigade, and studied at the “Yeshivat Har Etzion”. Graduate of the Neve Shmuel High School Yeshiva.
